Anti-blast guardrails are heavy-duty security fencing systems engineered to withstand explosive blast overpressure and forced-entry attempts. Used for military installations, government facilities, critical infrastructure, and high-threat environments where standard fencing is insufficient.
Security Design
- Anti-Climb: Welded mesh panel with 76.2mm x 12.7mm vertical slot openings — too narrow for hand or foothold. Eliminates climbing.
- Anti-Cut: 4.0mm wire diameter resists hand bolt cutters. Power tools required for cutting — delaying forced entry.
- Blast Resistance: Heavy-gauge frame and mesh designed to deform rather than shatter under blast overpressure. Prevents secondary fragmentation injuries.
- Forced Entry Delay: Tested to delay forced entry by 3-5 minutes using hand tools — sufficient for security response.
Construction
- Mesh Panel: 4.0mm wire welded at 76.2mm x 12.7mm spacing (358 mesh — anti-climb, anti-cut)
- Frame: 60mm x 40mm x 2.5mm rectangular steel tube, full perimeter weld
- Post: 80mm x 60mm x 3.0mm rectangular steel, set in concrete base 600mm deep
- Post Spacing: 2.5m (standard) or 3.0m
- Connection: Panels bolt to posts with tamper-resistant security bolts (requires special tool for removal)
